Your Mission
Join ClearEdge as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). In this role, you will help propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies, ensuring mission systems maintain a strong operational security posture. You will assist with day-to-day security operations, manage security aspects of systems, and support certification and accreditation activities in compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF).

Your Mission
Join ClearEdge as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). In this role, you will help propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies, ensuring mission systems maintain a strong operational security posture. You will assist with day-to-day security operations, manage security aspects of systems, and support certification and accreditation activities in compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF).
You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:
- A cybersecurity professional experienced in providing support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
- Skilled at assisting with the preparation, maintenance, and review of security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
- Knowledgeable in evaluating security solutions to ensure compliance with requirements for processing information
- Experienced in configuration management (CM) of security-relevant system software, hardware, and firmware
- Comfortable maintaining records for workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, and other systems, including system upgrades
- Able to maintain operational security posture and ensure compliance with system security policies
- Skilled at administering user identification and authentication mechanisms for information systems
- Able to manage and control system changes while assessing security impacts
- Experienced supporting the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and, when required, serving as Approval Authority for systems under your purview
A Day in the Life Of:
- Assisting with the management of security aspects of information systems and performing day-to-day security operations
- Supporting IT security programs and policies for programs, organizations, systems, or enclaves
- Developing, updating, and maintaining system security plans and other IA documentation
- Performing vulnerability and risk assessments to support certification and accreditation activities
- Providing configuration management for system software, hardware, and firmware
- Evaluating security solutions to meet requirements for processing classified information
- Maintaining operational security posture for assigned systems or programs
- Preparing and reviewing C&A packages in accordance with policies
- Administering user identification and authentication mechanisms for information systems
- Managing system changes and assessing security impacts
- Supporting senior ISSOs and ISSMs to maintain compliance with NIST RMF requirements
Must Haves:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or
- High school diploma with 14+ years of relevant experience
- Ten (10) years of experience as an ISSO on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, including at least two of the following: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, or encryption techniques/tools
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting certification and accreditation (C&A) or reaccreditation activities
- Familiarity with operational security environments for programs, systems, or enclaves
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
