Job Summary:

The Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) provides critical expertise in processing unit member deployments and maintaining necessary databases to include Envision/AFFORGEN Connect, milPDS, DCAPES, and DRRS. Effective communication skills, time management, and organizational skills required. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as primary or alternate Contingency Operations Manager for Special Operations unit
  • Reviews planning documents to determine deployment tasking
  • Monitors, inputs, extracts, and interprets data in information systems
  • Prepares for and assists with all phases of deployments to include bed-down of forces
  • Maintains a close relationship with operations, logistics, and support organizations to enhance support of the combat mission
  • Analyzes and recommends requirements for forward movement of forces to support theater commanders
  • Tracks and schedules mobility training for unit members, including Ready Airman Training (RAT) according to AFFORGEN Construct
  • Builds and maintains physical and digital mobility folders, accompanying members through the Personnel Deployment Function (PDF) and cargo through the Cargo Deployment Function (CDF) during exercises and real-world deployments
  • Arranges travel for deployers to and from monthly rotator departure and return locations
  • Provides consultation, subject matter expertise, and advice to customer and/or company
  • Supports the client with other UDM-related needs, as requested

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ yrs experience or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with Envision/AFFORGEN Connect, DCAPES, and DRRS reporting tools
  • Experience with AFSOC deployment process desired
  • Security clearance: Top Secret (SCI eligibility required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a dynamic team
  • Proficiency with MS Office products

Position Requirements

Knowledge Skills and Experience:
  • BA and 6+ years' professional work experience with 2+ years in an IG or Command Staff Support-type role or 10+ years' professional work experience with 5+ years in an IG or Command Staff Support-type role
  • Recent experience within last 7 years using MICT, IGEMS, and AF Personnel/Administrative programs and systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office products
  • Active TS/SCI government security clearance

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree with 2 Years of additional experience
