We re seeking a skilled Contract Developer to lead the development and integration of this system using the National Instruments cRIO platform. This role will focus on both FPGA and system-level programming using LabVIEW to enable high-reliability control, safety, and system diagnostics.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy control software for a battery charging rack using National Instruments cRIO hardware.
Implement FPGA-based functionality using LabVIEW FPGA for safety-critical and real-time control tasks.
Develop user-facing and backend control logic in conventional LabVIEW environments.
Manage communication and interface protocols with external hardware and instrumentation.
Collaborate with electrical, systems, and test engineers to define interface requirements and ensure seamless system integration.
Support integration, testing, and validation of the charge rack with spacecraft ground support systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software interaction issues during development and deployment.
Document design, implementation, and testing procedures in accordance with aerospace development standards. Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
5 years of experience with LabVIEW (or similar) control system applications
Hands-on experience building, deploying, and testing software images to National Instruments cRIO platforms.
Deep expertise in developing control systems with LabVIEW, including LabVIEW FPGA and Real-Time modules.
Strong understanding of device I/O management, signal conditioning, and data acquisition on cRIO hardware.
Experience with Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) or Electronic Specialized Test Equipment (ESTE).
Proven ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams and contribute to safety-critical engineering efforts.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
