THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION
The primary purpose of the HR ASSISTANT (MILITARY), GS-0203-6: is to provide services and basic information regarding human resources issues to technicians and Active Guard Reserves (AGRs) who are remote from the Human Resource Office (HRO). The primary function of this position is to provide support and clerical assistance on human resource matters to commanders, line supervisors, managers, and technicians at the base or unit organizational level and to coordinate such matters with the HRO.
May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Compatible Military Assignment and Grade are required. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. Military technicians must hold the military grade specified for the position.

Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance.
Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards.
Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required.
Qualifications
General Experience: Possess experience, education or training in clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position with experience using computer and automation systems.
HR ASSISTANT (MILITARY), GS-0203-6: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-05 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force, or similar human resources experience and human resources program's business competencies.
