The Opportunity:

As a Security Manager you will have the opportunity to serve as a key member of the US Space Force Korea (USSFK) S1 team, providing expert security management support for a client within the USSFK area of responsibility. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security strategies, managing personnel and physical security programs, and ensuring strict compliance with all security policies and procedures. The Security Manager will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders-including INDOPACOM and USSFK security elements-to maintain the highest standards of security for Special Access Programs (SAP) and Special Technical Operations (STO) environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage security strategies in accordance with DoD, INDOPACOM, and USSFK directives.
  • Oversee all aspects of personnel and physical security programs, including access control, visitor management, and security education/training.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce security policies and procedures tailored to SAP/STO requirements.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for facilities, personnel, and operations.
  • Coordinate security program requirements and activities with USSFK, INDOPACOM, and other relevant agencies.
  • Manage security incident response, investigations, and reporting in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, DoD, and command-level security standards, including NISPOM, ICDs, and SAP/STO policies.
  • Prepare and deliver security briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Supervise and mentor junior security staff and contractors as required.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI required; SAP/STO eligibility preferred.
  • 8+ years of security management experience, preferably supporting DoD, INDOPACOM, or USSFK operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or equivalent.
  • In-depth understanding of DoD, INDOPACOM, and USSFK security policies, SAP/STO program requirements, and risk management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage security teams in high-risk, complex environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior leaders and coordinate across multiple organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; experience conducting security risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with military, civilian, and contractor personnel.


Desired:
  • 10+ years experience supporting USSFK or INDOPACOM security operations.
  • Master's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with SAP/STO program security management.
  • Familiarity with USSFK and INDOPACOM command structures and reporting requirements.
  • Advanced security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CPP).

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$85,900-$189,100
