The Opportunity:
  • CACI has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Enterprise Messaging Systems Engineer to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.
  • Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You'll have access to big city excitement in Columbia, SC, or a quiet beach walk or small-town Southern hospitality.
  • If you want to use your skills to support national security, this is the job for you. You'll experience leading-edge technology as you help sustain and defend the networks our Air Force warfighters use in the CENTCOM theater. You'll have the opportunity for upward or lateral mobility to apply your expertise in other disciplines.
  • The role involves providing support for enterprise messaging systems, including Microsoft Exchange, email encryption technologies, mobile device management, and Microsoft Communicator technology.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for Microsoft Exchange (2013 and later). Manage email capability using signed and encrypted technology associated with encryption devices with High Grade Service (HGS) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Medium Grade Service (MGS). Support email capability via enterprise mobile management software for mobile devices. Maintain Microsoft Communicator technologies.
  • Develop and maintain system concept of operations (CONOPS), engineering plans, and user guides for Enterprise Messaging Service. Develop and review other documents such as techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) and special instructions.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify and resolve issues. Develop reports and trend analysis on system use, including account utilization.
  • Perform analysis for collaboration of network/system needs and help plan, design, upgrade, and deploy enterprise datacenter hardware and software. Configure Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP), Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS), Dynamic and Integrated Domain Name Service (DNS), and Active Directory (AD) services.
  • Research, document, and resolve outages, trouble calls, virus outbreaks, and network intrusions. Analyze and report on network health.
  • Provide on-call support via cell phone after hours, on weekends, and holidays.


You may also have an opportunity to:
  • a. Deploy/travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR as required (up to 25%).
  • b. Perform TDY travel to CONUS locations as required.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
  • B.S. in related field, and 5 years' relevant IT experience; or 7 years' relevant IT experience

a. Relevant experience:
  • i. Possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server 2012 using server images; Experience with implementation of storage solutions, window containers, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
  • ii. Possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with managing Microsoft users and permissions, creating active directory domain services (AD DS) forests, designing server infrastructure, troubleshooting networks, and protecting network and user data.
  • iii. Possess a broad range of expertise in Commercial Electronic mail technologies.
  • Firewall experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Network + or CCNA certification
  • ITIL Foundation certification within 60 days of start date.


Desired:
  • Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$81,300 - $170,700
