Role and Responsibility:
We have an immediate need for a Full Stack Developer with back-end Java 8+ skills. Support will focus on software engineering of the National Time Sensitive System (NTSS) tool suite, which delivers critical intelligence around the world at mission speed. The team supporting NTSS works with cutting edge technology to manage high-volume and time-sensitive data throughput in response to Intelligence Community and world-wide partner needs. Support includes both sustainment of the existing tools and development of new features and functionality based on high-priority mission needs.
Candidate will be responsible for developing distributed software; updating software code and fixing bugs; deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; automating system operations activities; and troubleshooting and resolving issues and outages.
Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly 1 week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 12 additional hours (4 hours per system with 3 systems covered) for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
Required technical skills include:
• Back-end Java 8+
• Spring / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud
Additional desired technical skills may include experience with:
• DevOps
• Kibana / Logstash
• MongoDB
• Docker / Docker Compose / Docker Swarm
• RESTful web services
• Angular
• Drools
