We're looking for a Senior Database Administrator to support critical operations across both classified and unclassified environments. This role plays a central part in maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of our data platforms, enabling reliable and secure information sharing in support of vital national missions.
You'll work hands-on with relational and non-relational databases, AWS data services, and secure cross-domain pipelines-helping to build modern, automated, and scalable systems. What You'll Do
- Lead data platform planning and administration, enforcing best practices around governance, usage, and security
- Oversee database performance, availability, and recovery planning across classified and unclassified environments
- Manage AWS-based data services and support automation of ingestion, transformation, and lifecycle processes
- Maintain secure data flows using cross-domain solutions (e.g., AWS diode and software artifact pipelines)
- Guide development of data models, warehousing solutions, and scalable architectures
- Administer, install, and upgrade database servers and tools
- Support backup/recovery efforts and ensure optimized performance for growing systems
- Coordinate access controls and implement security measures to safeguard critical data assets
What You Bring
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (this is an on-site role)
- 5+ years working in database environments at scale, including experience with:
- Data migration and modeling
- Automation and modernization initiatives
- Replication, backup, and recovery strategies
- 3+ years focused on database administration within AWS infrastructure
- 2+ years hands-on with both relational and non-relational databases and AWS services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- IAT Level II certification
- Strong knowledge of database architecture, with a focus on automation and performance tuning
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for data-related automation

- AWS certifications (any level or specialty areas are a plus)
