Insight Global is actively hiring multiple Senior Software Systems Engineer to support multiple Missile Defense Programs in Huntsville AL, and and Colorado Springs, CO. The selected candidates will act as senior level resources in the development, integration, and sustainment of advanced missile defense systems. This role requires a strong background in software systems engineering, architecture, and lifecycle support for large-scale defense programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead software systems engineering efforts across the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to integration and sustainment.
Collaborate with MDA stakeholders, developers, and test teams to define software architectures and ensure alignment with system-level requirements.
Develop and maintain interface control documents (ICDs), software specifications, and system design artifacts.
Support software integration and verification activities across distributed systems and simulation environments.
Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and technical reviews to support acquisition and engineering decisions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of experience in software or systems Engineering.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and interface design.
- Experience with Agile development, DevSecOps pipelines, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Cameo, JIRA, GitLab, and Jenkins.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Software Development skill specifically in C++ or Python
- Experience with MDA systems such as GMD, Aegis BMD, THAAD, or C2BMC.
Knowledge of missile defense system architectures, kill chain analysis, and threat modeling.
INCOSE CSEP or equivalent certification.
TS/SCI clearance or eligibility.
Insight Global expects to pay 125K - 180K for these openings. Candidates exact salary may vary based on a number of factors including location, clearance level, level of experience/expertise, etc.
