The Red Gate Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Systems Analyst to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) within the FM Business Solutions Office (FMZ). This position plays a mission-critical role in transforming financial data into actionable insights, streamlining operations, and advancing the modernization of NGA’s core financial systems, including Geospatial Intelligence Financials (GEO-F).
As part of a specialized team, you will collaborate closely with both technical and financial stakeholders to improve the agency’s financial data lifecycle—from collection and processing to analysis and reporting. You will contribute to system enhancements, troubleshoot financial systems, assist in audit remediation efforts, and drive business transformation initiatives through process gap analysis, system design, and implementation strategies.
Ideal candidates will bring deep expertise in federal financial management systems (especially Momentum Financials), strong technical aptitude with SQL and VBA, and a passion for optimizing complex financial ecosystems in a mission-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical advisor supporting the development and enhancement of NGA’s financial systems and processes.
Translate operational financial needs into actionable technical specifications.
Support and enhance GEO-F functionality and troubleshoot anomalies such as SF-133 issues and 1099 reporting.
Lead the development of system documentation, training materials, and business process maps.
Develop, validate, and maintain testing strategies for financial system upgrades and enhancements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
Create and review lifecycle cost estimates, system architecture plans, and financial system policies.
Coordinate and participate in milestone events, technical meetings, and system certification activities.
Support the development and execution of automation scripts and queries using SQL and VBA.
Contribute to audit remediation, business process improvement, and financial reporting integrity.
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in federal financial management and systems analysis.
8+ years of specialized experience including:
2+ years with Momentum Financials upgrades/enhancements/implementations.
2+ years supporting audit findings and executing Corrective Action Plans (FI SCAM).
2+ years of SQL and VBA script development and execution.
2+ years of Momentum report testing or 1099 execution and compliance with IRS standards.
Preferred Qualifications
CISA or CGFM certification.
PMP certification with 5+ years of program management experience.
Momentum system administration and acquisition module experience.
Familiarity with Cognos, TM-I, and interfacing Momentum modules.
Experience creating detailed cost estimates and managing multi-project environments.
