Position Summary:

ANSER is seeking a Site Security Manager to support Space Force Japan (SFJ) with managing SCIF and SAP/STO programs. In this key role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive security strategies at the SFJ GPS client site. You will manage all aspects of personnel and physical security, ensuring compliance with Special Access Program (SAP) and Special Technical Operations (STO) requirements, and enforce security policies and procedures in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), INDOPACOM, and USSFJ directives. You will coordinate staff requirements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a secure and compliant environment at the SFJ location.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee security strategies and programs in alignment with DoD, INDOPACOM, and USSFJ directives and best practices.
  • Manage all aspects of personnel and physical security, including access control, visitor management, security training, and incident response.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce security policies and procedures tailored to SAP/STO environments.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and recommend mitigation strategies for facilities, personnel, and operations.
  • Coordinate security requirements and activities with SFJ leadership, INDOPACOM, USSFJ, and other relevant agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, DoD, and command-level security standards, including NISPOM, ICDs, and SAP/STO policies.
  • Prepare and deliver security briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior security staff and contractors as required.
  • Oversee security incident investigations and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate communication with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving security threats, technologies, and best practices relevant to the SFJ mission.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance. SAP/STO eligibility preferred.
  • 8+ years of security management experience, preferably supporting DoD, INDOPACOM, or USSFJ operations.
  • In-depth understanding of DoD, INDOPACOM, and USSFJ security policies, SAP/STO program requirements, and risk management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage security teams in high-risk, complex environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior leaders and coordinate across multiple organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; experience conducting security risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with military, civilian, and contractor personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or equivalent.
  • Prior experience supporting USSFJ or INDOPACOM security operations.
  • Experience with SAP/STO program security management.
  • Familiarity with USSFJ and INDOPACOM command structures and reporting requirements.
  • Advanced security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CPP).

Full Time Salary Range for this position for this position:

$115,000 - $125,000 USD
