A leading aerospace & defense organization is standing up a formal Material Review Board (MRB) certification program to support a rapid production ramp on a next-generation airframe. You will own the design, authorship, and launch of a pass/fail electronic MRB exam and its self-paced courseware, ensuring every liaison engineer meets AS9100 and DoD quality requirements before touching hardware.

Responsibilities
- Build the MRB competency blueprint, objectives, pass/fail metrics, and maintenance cycle.
- Develop SCORM/xAPI-compliant e-learning modules and interactive assessments in an LCMS/LMS environment.
- Translate engineering drawings, specs, and manuals into concise training content that aligns with AS9100 and internal process directives.
- Configure electronic forms and automated workflows for exam delivery, version control, and analytics dashboards.
- Partner with Liaison, Quality, Manufacturing, and Digital-Thread teams to validate content and schedule recurring certification windows.
- Produce documentation for leadership and auditors demonstrating exam integrity, compliance traceability, and continuous-improvement hooks.
Minimum qualifications
- 5 + years' technical writing or instructional-design experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
- Direct MRB or Liaison Engineering exposure, including non-conformance disposition.
- Proficiency with an LMS/LCMS (e.g., Articulate 360, Storyline, Captivate) and SCORM/xAPI standards.
- Working knowledge of AS/ISO-9100 or equivalent quality-management systems.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred qualifications
- Active Secret (or higher) clearance or prior work on Special-Access Programs.
- Demonstrated success launching certification programs that passed DCMA or third-party audits.
- Experience automating workflows with SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
- Mechanical or aerospace engineering degree (BSME, BSAE) or equivalent practical background.
- Familiarity with digital-thread or model-based engineering environments.
