Description:
ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC. (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Space Development Agency's (SDA), Advanced Fire Control Ground Infrastructure (AFCGI), Demonstration Operations Center (DOC) program located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
Key Roles:
Assists the DOC Manager.
Responsible for Networking and DOC tasks and projects.
Responsible for assisting and/or leading the Networking support of integration and test activities with mission partners throughout their AFCGI interface development, integration, and test activities.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, load balancing, etc.
Conducts and/or participates in Networking and DOC related discussions in coordination with internal cross-functional team.
Responsible for assisting and/or leading the management and maintenance of server racks that hosts AFCGI equipment.
Responsible for assisting and/or leading the management of inventory and tracking of server racks and AFCGI equipment.
Prepares appropriate network documentation, including operational instructions.
Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements.
Uses standard, well-defined processes, procedures, techniques, and tools to complete all tasks.
Manages performance requirements to the program baseline.
Manage risk and customer relationships.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent.
The ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI-eligible.
Active Security + Certification
C2 and Information Systems management experience in support of Department of Defense.
Operations Centers in support of Department of Defense.
Ability to mentor and provide leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA Certification.
Experience with the processes and procedures for reporting, handling and storage of COMSEC.
Experience leading and/or supporting operations or ground system support for SDA missions.
Technical writing skills for generating SOPs, analysis and reports.
Experience with planning and conducting Network testing.
Experience with planning and conducting Operations and Maintenance.
Experience with planning and conducting Training.
