Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst - Cybersecurity Data Loss Protection (DLP) to join their growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting sensitive data across the enterprise by deploying and managing DLP technologies, analyzing incidents, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. You'll collaborate with global stakeholders and security teams to strengthen our data protection posture and respond to emerging threats.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and respond to DLP alerts and incidents across endpoints, email, and cloud environments.
- Deploy, maintain, and optimize DLP technologies and policies (e.g., eDLP, Email DLP, CASB/SASE).
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies for emerging cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Support DLP engineers in evaluating and testing new technologies and solutions.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance program maturity.
- Contribute to incident response activities and investigations as needed.
- Maintain awareness of evolving cyber threats, countermeasures, and industry trends.
- Develop and maintain standardized documentation for data protection response procedures.
- 3 years of experience in data security monitoring and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with DLP technologies (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Proofpoint, CrowdStrike, Trellix).
- Experience implementing and managing multiple DLP solutions (e.g., DBAM, CASB, Email DLP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in teams.
- Experience working in regulated environments and collaborating with Audit, Compliance, and Governance teams.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CDPSE, CIPP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
- Experience with cloud security and container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
- Active or previous government clearance (Top Secret or equivalent) is a plus.
