Join our dynamic team as a Program Manager and lead exciting projects within Remote Sensing - Government Operating Unit! In this pivotal role, you'll lead program activities across diverse teams, ensuring we stay on track with timelines, budgets, and quality standards for our USG and International Remote Sensing customers. Working closely with Business Development, Engineering, and various stakeholders, you will help to deliver innovative solutions that not only meet our customers' needs but also propel our company's vision into the future.

This job posting may cover multiple career levels. To ensure greater transparency, we provide base salary ranges for all roles, regardless of location. Our standard pay ranges are based on the role's function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies. Compensation may vary based on geographical location, as certain regions may have different cost-of-living factors. The final offer will also be influenced by the candidate's skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience.
Compensation Range
The Compensation Range for this role is $150,000- $180,000 DOE.

Key Responsibilities
- Program Execution:
- Have full accountability for successful execution (cost, schedule, technical) of several current contracts and the primary Program Manager.
- Update monthly financial forecasts and support delivery of customer metrics reports
- Lead program management reviews with customers and participate in internal Program Excellence Reviews.
- Support program execution across programs within the Government Operating Unit as Deputy PM on larger contracts.
- Processes:
- Contribute to the development of Umbra's Program Excellence Framework, a set of documented processes for program start-up, execution, and close-out.
- Leverage lessons learned and experience from prior programs, but tailored to how Umbra does business, to define lightweight processes for functions such as financial management, risk management, contractual deliveries, and monitoring performance.
- Support strategic planning meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Agile Development:
- Act as Business Owner for technologies related to contracts.
- Support product management and system architects on solutions engineering.
- Actively participate in major Agile ceremonies, such as PI planning.
- Growth and Strategy:
- Lead or support proposal development as requested.
- Define and execute growth strategies for current and follow-on contracts.
- Support product management in company roadmaps by being the voice of the customer on their needs.
- Other professional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in program management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Proven ability to lead technical development and R&D projects successfully.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in developing and tracking metrics, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- 5+ years of program management experience within U.S. Government contracts or aerospace/defense domain, ideally in the space/remote sensing industry
- Current and active security clearance (TS/SCI).
- Familiarity with the U.S. Government's DoD, IC, and Civil customers, as well as SAR and RF space payloads & products.
- Experience with business development on USG or international defense and intelligence captures and proposal support.
- High-agency approach to work with demonstrated ability to build, plan, and execute complex tasks with minimal oversight.
- Willing to travel CONUS up to 25% of the time.
- Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tools & expertise in MS Office
- PMP and/or program management certification
