Position: RMF Trainer
Position Type: Full-time Onsite
Position Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly

Waypoint's client is seeking a Mid-level Risk Management Framework Trainer. This position focuses on enhancing the Information Assurance (IA) posture through cybersecurity policy, RMF-based process training, FISMA reporting, and cyber defense awareness. The ideal candidate will possess strong training experience, technical depth in RMF, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders across the Intelligence Community (IC).

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver cybersecurity policy, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and tool training in alignment with customer directives.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and support training session planning, registration, delivery, and follow-up.
  • Create and update instructional content and training materials to reflect emerging IA tools, processes, and cyber capabilities.
  • Support annual and quarterly Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CAM) initiatives, including agenda development, content creation, and event logistics.
  • Provide training support related to ServiceNow, RMF, Continuous Monitoring, Privileged User responsibilities, Information System Owner duties, and other IA domains.
  • Contribute to the development of new IA training modules, curriculum enhancements, and technical documentation.
  • Support Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) reporting, IA metrics, and A&A compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders, and technical staff to maintain up-to-date cybersecurity knowledge base and learning resources.
  • Participate in vulnerability management and cyber defense support initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or Master's with 3-5 years, or Ph.D. with 0-2 years.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Able to support customer core hours (0900-1500, Monday through Friday).
  • Experience delivering training both in person and virtually.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Hands-on experience with the RMF process and IA compliance standards.
Desired:
  • STEM degree or advanced cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP).
  • Experience supporting the DoD or IC cybersecurity mission, especially in acquisition or project management roles.
  • Experience serving as ISSO, ISSM, SCA, or DAOR.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Splunk, and cloud-based security platforms.
  • Knowledge of credentialing, reciprocity, and access management.
  • Familiarity with the customer's internal training platform.
  • Basic Instructor Certification (e.g., Train-the-Trainer).
  • Understanding of modern cloud technologies and architectures.
