Overview
Intrepid Solutions, a CIS company, is looking for an Operations Support Specialist to support a new contract that is anticipated to begin in September, 2025. This contract is providing research, analysis, and modernization support services to a DoD customer. This role will be incorporated into the human resources and pre-deployment support areas. We expect that the Operations Support Specialist would be able to handle the below responsibilities and exceed the minimum qualifications listed.

Responsibilities
- Manage Personnel Actions:
- Prepare, process, track, and report on a wide range of personnel transactions including assignments, transfers, promotions, awards, evaluations, duty descriptions, and readiness updates for staff.

- Serve as Personnel Advisor to Leadership:
- Provide timely and accurate guidance to CFT leadership on all matters related to personnel management, including policy interpretation, force structure changes, and staffing recommendations.

- Utilize DoD and Army Personnel Management Systems:
- Operate and maintain records using systems such as IPPSA, EMPReS, iPERMS, FMSWeb, ERS (NCOER/OER), and internal databases to ensure personnel data accuracy and regulatory compliance.

- Coordinate with External Stakeholders and Agencies:
- Liaise with Army Human Resource Command (AHRC), HQDA, PEO-Soldier, and AFC HQ to facilitate personnel actions and resolve issues efficiently.

- Ensure Timely Execution and Communication of HR Processes:
- Proactively identify upcoming deadlines, required approvals, and key tasks; communicate these to leadership and stakeholders to ensure all HR support actions meet internal and external timelines.

- Monitor and report on unit readiness metrics, personnel accountability, and organizational alignment to support operational planning and decision-making.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:
- This position anticipates onsite work at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD with standard work hours, Monday-Friday.
TRAVEL:
- Up 30% travel expected.
Qualifications
CLEARANCE:
- Active Secret clearance required at the time of application for initial consideration. *This position is not open to clearance sponsorship, upgrade, or reactivation.*
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree, desired.
CERTIFICATION(S):
- None required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of progressive experience related to the responsibilities listed above.
- Experience in Operations Support tasks that interface at the Major Command level (e.g., staff for three- and four-star flag officers), DoD agencies, political appointees and members of Congress.
