SG2 is partnering with Venatore, seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to support our IT operations at a critical customer site. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in server hardware and software administration, system security, incident response, and infrastructure troubleshooting. You’ll be part of a mission-focused team, maintaining and enhancing systems that support national security operations.
What You Will Be Doing:
Administering and maintaining the performance, availability, and security of server environments, both physical and virtual.
Monitoring system usage, logs, and performance data to detect, respond to, and remediate system vulnerabilities or unauthorized access attempts.
Performing regular updates to baseline configurations and managing system patching, hardening, and configuration changes.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to server hardware, software, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, and identity management.
Supporting incident response procedures and implementing technical resolutions to critical system problems.
Recommending infrastructure improvements and system enhancements based on current technological trends and organizational needs.
Providing expert technical guidance on system architecture, upgrades, and integration of emerging technologies.
Assisting with software development support to optimize the performance of operating systems and platforms.
What You Will Need:
Active TS/SCI Clearance required to start.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Associate degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of related experience in systems administration.
Required Technical Skills:
DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent); Level III preferred.
Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management, DNS, DHCP, and Identity & Credential Management.
Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware (VCP5.x) or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Proficiency managing Linux-based systems (RHEL, Alpine, Rocky Linux) in an enterprise environment.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Familiarity with Storage Area Networks (NetApp Data ONTAP preferred).
Experience with enterprise-level backup and restoration tools.
Administration of Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 and Unified Communications platforms (OCS/Lync).
Experience designing and managing Radio over IP (RoIP) solutions and multicast video systems (EZTV experience a plus).
Knowledge of cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman.
