Your Mission:
As a Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in advancing the Sponsor's cyber capabilities and strategic objectives. You’ll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to design, build, secure, and optimize mission-critical systems that support the collection, processing, and analysis of cyber intelligence. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that includes direct engagement with senior U.S. Government leadership and a strong emphasis on emerging technologies and innovative approaches.
What You’ll Do:
Architect, develop, and maintain secure, scalable cloud-based systems and infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
Implement and evaluate system security measures, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with NIST and federal guidelines (e.g., ATO, ATD)
Support end-to-end data lifecycle management, including secure ingestion, transfer, and accessibility
Deploy and manage data orchestration platforms that power mission-focused analytics
Provide expert guidance on secure system design, compliance, and emerging tech adoption
Perform both local and global admin functions within cloud platforms to support access and performance
Collaborate across functional teams to align technical solutions with strategic goals
Create system documentation using tools like Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
Required Qualifications:
11+ years of experience in systems engineering and IT infrastructure, especially in cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
Proven track record architecting and deploying secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions
Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing
Experience with compliance frameworks and accreditation processes (e.g., ATO, NIST standards)
Strong background in data management, including ingestion, integrity, and lifecycle management
Proficiency with data orchestration tools and platforms
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Exposure to or experience with AI/ML integration in systems engineering
Experience supporting secure communication networks in high-stakes, operational settings
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes and security documentation
Hands-on scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell for automation and system tasks
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Experience maintaining secure configurations and streamlining system operations
