Position Overview

The CI Officer (Level III) will conduct defensive counterintelligence activities in support of the NGA mission. The officer will gather and analyze threat information, produce CI analysis and recommendations, and conduct threat briefings and foreign travel debriefings. The candidate will play a key role in protecting NGA personnel, programs, and information from foreign intelligence threats.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and interpret intelligence, terrorism, and espionage threats against NGA.
  • Publish CI analysis for internal and external stakeholders including DoD and IC partners.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for mitigation and countermeasures.
  • Detect anomalous activities and evaluate potential links to foreign intelligence collection.
  • Produce CI forecasts, assessments, and operational security reviews.
  • Conduct threat briefings for NGA travelers and assess foreign intelligence risks.
  • Debrief foreign contacts and travel engagements and produce formal intelligence reports.
  • Provide CI support for security clearance adjudication and personnel risk assessments.
  • Support NGA's CI integration with Research and Technology Protection (RTP) and SCRM.
  • Write CI Threat Assessments and participate in incident and damage assessments.
  • Apply analytical tools including M3, Palantir, TAC, ARCSIGHT, RSA Analytics, CCD, and TIDE.
  • Liaise with IC, DoD, and law enforcement CI professionals.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings to internal and external audiences at multiple levels.
  • Participate in CI working groups and share best practices across the community.


Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in National Intelligence Studies, Law Enforcement, Political Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of counterintelligence experience.
  • Foundational CI background including investigations, collections, operations, and analysis.
  • Credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy.
  • Experience using CI tools such as M3, Palantir, TAC, ARCSIGHT, RSA Security Analytics, TIDE, CCD.


Salary Range:

$95,000-$115,000

The Ennoble First pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
