About the Job
We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Buyer to join our supply chain team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle-from supplier selection and negotiation to contract execution and delivery oversight. You'll play a key role in ensuring that materials and services are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, logistics, and finance teams to support mission-critical initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

You'll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, logistics, and finance teams to support mission-critical initiatives and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to final invoice payment.
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate supplier proposals, and lead supplier down-selection.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies to secure optimal pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Construct and manage various contract types, including long-term agreements and sourcing partnerships.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive accountability through metrics and regular reviews.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery delays, invoice discrepancies, and quality concerns.
- Collaborate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material delivery.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations (FAR, DFAR, SOX).
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and identify opportunities for process and cost improvements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in sourcing across multiple commodities and managing supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and tools; experience with RFQs, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 standards and engineering documentation (e.g., specifications, source control drawings).
- Familiarity with U.S. government procurement regulations (FAR, DFAR) and compliance standards.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Background in sourcing machined parts, raw materials, and outplant services.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or Special Access.
