The proposed salary range for this position is:
$98,500-$206,800

The Opportunity:
- Serve on the GIS Release Train as part of the SAFFIRE contract under the Data Management Scrum Team.
- Provide direct mission impact to the Intelligence Community utilizing state-of-the-art software, applications, and database technologies.
- Work with SAFFIRE stakeholders to produce mission impacting software solutions combining COTS/GOTS/FOSS and database solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Work with a product development team to develop concepts, identify creative solutions to user requests, and assess feasibility of these solutions.
- Assist with the troubleshooting and repair of operational issues affecting the SAFFIRE GIS related tool suite.
Responsibilities:
- Experience working with analysts to define intelligence needs and solutions that provide direct mission impact.
- Demonstrated experience with tools: GIT, JIRA, Confluence
- Experience creating Technical Documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, effective and demonstrated communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter, possess time management and organizational skills, including the ability to work in a dynamic, real-time environment with rapidly changing priorities.
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must have at least 7+ years of experience in Intelligence, Systems Engineering and/or Data Engineering.
- College degree (B.S. or greater) in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or a related discipline; experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile based software development methodologies.
- Solid understanding of GIS Web Services such as ArcGIS REST Services or OGC services (WMS, WFS, WCS, WPS).
- Demonstrated experience developing with modern languages such as: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, etc.
- Working knowledge of geospatial data formats (vector and raster).
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies.
- Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases Qualifications.
Desired:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka - Experience with Apache NiFi or similar ETL technologies.
- Experience with metrics dashboard (such as Grafana) creation, management, maintenance, and notification systems.
- Experience managing enterprise GIS infrastructure such as ArcGIS Enterprise and/or FOSS based geospatial solutions such as Geoserver or Mapserver.
- Demonstrated experience with Esri tools - AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps and/or Architect, etc.)
- Security+ Certification.
