Duties
As a Logistics Management Specialist, the primary purpose of this position is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all state activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must possess theleast one year of specialized experience at the GS 09 level or civilian equivalent which includes: 1) identifying activities involving logistical support operations; 2) Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; 3) Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan; and 4) Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.

As a Logistics Management Specialist, the primary purpose of this position is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all state activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.
- Serves as an advisor to the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist on all Combat Service Support (CSS) Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs.
- Serves as a Systems Administrator for all Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs and as the technical expert within the state/territory responsible for providing technical and functional guidance for serviced Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for Functional Administrators and users of the serviced database(s).
- Analyzes requirements, establishes programs/procedures ensuring effective coordination on CSS automation hardware systems and peripherals pertaining to the receipt, distribution, installation, and life cycle management of devices that are directed to be managed at unit/state level.
- Serves as the primary point of contact on all CSS automation continuity of operations plan
- (COOP), development, and execution.

- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate, to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. DoD 8570.01-M, must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M.
- This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing. Pre-employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing is a condition of employment.
