BreakPoint Labs is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Site Lead) to join our team at Fort Meade, MD. This role requires an in-depth technical understanding of Red Team tool development and development workflows, with a focus on infrastructure, operations, and capability enhancement/extension. This position will be critical in leading on-site efforts, contributing directly to the advancement of Red Team capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage on-site technical operations related to Red Team tool development
- Contribute to the design and development of new/existing Red Team capabilities
- Oversee and optimize Red Team development workflows
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate red team capabilities with operations
- Ensure that developed capabilities comply with operational requirements and goals
- Occasional Travel up to 20%
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience supporting Red Team tool and/or exploit development
- Extensive experience with developing tools in multiple programming languages (C, C++, Assembly, Rust, etc.)
- Experience with reverse engineering or source code analysis to support tool/exploit development
- Experience with development workflows and processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with USMC is preferred but not required
Certifications Required: Security+ Continuing Education (CE) [CompTIA] and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) [EC-Council]
Security Clearance Required: Top Secret / SCI
Education Level requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in the following Area(s) of Study; Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology
