Position Overview

The Senior Aerospace System Digital News and Multimedia/Sound Expert will administer and oversee the Aerospace Systems Directorate's Digital News Network. This role involves designing, upgrading, integrating, configuring, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the digital news system while ensuring consistent, reliable communications across all directorate locations. The contractor will also provide expert videography, video production, multimedia narration, photography, and onsite event sound production services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the Aerospace Systems Directorate Digital News Network, including design, configuration, upgrade, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and manage expansion opportunities for digital news infrastructure including power, cabling, hardware, software, and network requirements.
  • Develop, create, assign, publish, and automate digital news content playlists, schedule content, and manage real-time emergency notifications.
  • Manage Network Multimedia Devices (NMD), such as BlackBox digital news players, including connection oversight and software upgrades.
  • Coordinate digital news activities across all Directorate locations to ensure communication reliability.
  • Track and manage digital news software, equipment, and assets, including procurement, inventory, tagging, movement, and disposal.
  • Provide videography and video production services, including original footage capture, editing, and integrating motion picture, sound, and graphics into polished compositions.
  • Deliver multimedia professional narration as needed.
  • Perform still photography and videography to highlight AFRL personnel and missions, including on-camera interviews and creation of packaged stories for multiple media formats.
  • Manage onsite event sound production with the ability to identify and correct audio imperfections and resolve technical challenges creatively.
  • Stay current with creative trends and development technologies in video and social media.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in digital news management, multimedia production, and sound engineering.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
  • Expert knowledge of digital news systems, video production, sound production, and multimedia storytelling.
  • Strong technical skills in network multimedia device management and digital communications infrastructure.
  • Excellent videography, photography, editing, and narration skills.
  • Experience with event audio production and sound quality control.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media , Communications, Multimedia Production, Sound Engineering, or related field required
