Space Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Technical Writer - Senior

Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Space EW Technical Writer to provide specialized security support to HQ SpOC/S8Z by leading the development, review, and updates of Special Access Program (SAP) Security Classification Guides (SCGs). The role includes evaluating threats, assessing classification decisions, and recommending updates based on CPI and mission system evolution. The writer will ensure alignment with AFOSI/PSO standards and advise on classification concerns across SAP mission areas and Programs of Record (PoR).

The anticipated compensation for the position is $99,000 to $112,000 based on a full-time schedule. Your compensation will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and education.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and update SCGs for current and emerging SAP mission systems using the AFOSI/PSO SCG template, and deliver recommendations to HQ SpOC/S8Z based on threat assessments and approved CPI.
• Analyze classification concerns across SAP mission areas and PoRs, providing formal recommendations to the S8Z GPOC to ensure classification accuracy and compliance.

Required Experience:

• Active TS/SCI required. Must be willing to submit for a CI Polygraph if required.

• Experience coordinating with Program Security Officers (PSOs), GSSOs, GSSMs, and Government stakeholders on SAP classification and security policy.
• Understanding of how SCGs integrate with Program Protection Plans, especially for acquisition or advanced space system PoRs.
• Skilled in preparing recommendation reports and comment matrices for SCG reviews
• Proven expertise in SCG development, threat assessment, CPI handling, and SAP compliance.
• Familiarity with AFOSI/PSO SCG formatting and DoDM 5205.07 procedures.
• Experience advising senior leadership on SAP classification strategy and security risk mitigation.
• Proven experience supporting military HHQ Staff and operating within classified (SAP/SAR) space environments across Space Operations, Space Control, or EMSO mission areas.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Special Access Program (SAP) security, national security classification policy, or program protection.
• Education: Master's Degree required.

  • Space Professional Cert Level 2
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) - from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)
• Preferred:
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC)
  • Technical Writing Certification (e.g., Society for Technical Communication (STC) Certified Technical Communicator)
