Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to support Fortune 500 and 1000 customers, government and DoD customers, and to excel within a fantastic team. The Cloud Engineer will specialize in designing, deploying, and managing hybrid cloud environments—environments that combine on-premises infrastructure (private cloud or traditional data centers) with public cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
Architect, deploy, and automate cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on hybrid cloud strategies
Capable of supporting program requirements through open-source scripting (Python, Java)
Develop automation tools and scripts for provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
Establish and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability
Diagnose and resolve complex cloud-related technical issues
Recommend functional approaches for new applications and services
Provide input on enhancements to existing cloud products and features
Qualifications:
DoD cybersecurity experience
Experience with AWS GovCloud
Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Experience with Azure
Familiar with DoD Accreditation Processes
Familiar working in a SCIF environment
Work well with customer solutions and architects
Years of experience:
5 + years of direct experience in cloud engineering
Certification Requirements:
Must have, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a current IAT Level II Certification
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering is desired
Security Requirements:
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
