Software Engineer

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer to sit fully onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. This candidate will be participating in early production lifecycle stages, supporting production and creating new capabilities, Collaborating with a team of 5-18 developers on various projects. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise applications, Utilizing Java and Spring Boot, adapting to the customer’s unique framework. You will be using Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git for project management and collaboration. This candidate will also be Implementing containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, and Ansible. They will also be working with C2E, the government’s version of AWS, and virtualized hardware. You will be supporting applications with mixed front-end technologies (JavaScript, Angular, React) and mixed database technologies (Oracle, Postgres, Mongo).

Must Haves:
• Current TS/SCI with Full Scope polygraph (MD Customer)
• Twelve (12) years of experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• Strong experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot

Compensation: $80-$113/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
