The Opportunity:
As a USAREUR-AF Computer Forensic Scientist - Systems you will support US Army Europe/Africa G2 and other Intelligence related mission partners, as a key team member of a complex program that provides professional services in support of advisory and analysis efforts associated with Intelligence Warfighting Function (IWfF)mission areas. The USAREUR-AF TMISS Team will research, analyze, and produce near- and long-term all source assessments on terrorism / counterterrorism, and multi-discipline counter-intelligence issues in response to CG USAREUR-AF's priority intelligence requirements and to enable U.S. and foreign partner counterintelligence operations.
You will be a member of a team that supports the Intelligence Directorate of the Army Component Command of both the US European Command and US Africa Command.
Responsibilities:
As a USAREUR-AF Computer Forensic Scientist - Systems you will embed at Clay Kaserne in Wiesbaden, Federal Republic of Germany and may travel within both theaters as required, to perform services at locations within the USEUCOM or USAFRICOM AOR or Area of Interest (AOI) to meet mission requirements in both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
These positions are contingent upon SOFA approval or commensurate work-Visa requirements at the primary place of duty. Employee must be willing to work shifts, overtime, and/or deploy to austere or hostile fire zones as required.
Other duties of the Computer Forensic Scientist - Systems will include but are not limited to:
• Provide comprehensive support to Counterintelligence (CI) activities, including investigations, collection, research, analysis, and production.
• Prepare, configure, utilize, and verify assigned forensic tools and equipment correctly to support the different phases of digital forensic examination.
• Conduct the exploitation of digital media captured or seized in support of CI activities using digital forensic Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
• Provide expertise in the cyber operation TTPs employed by foreign intelligence services operating within the USAREUR-AF Area of Responsibility/Area of Interest (AOR/AOI).
• Prepare accurate and timely written and oral assessments and reports derived from cyber-CI activities.
• Generate specialized technical products, including comprehensive examination reports, briefings, and running estimates.
Qualifications:
Required
• MA/MS +8 Years Experience in relevant Cybersecurity Forensics
• Expert level knowledge of Cyber Forensics tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
• Current TS-SCI Clearance
• Excellent Written and Verbal communications skills
Desired
• Holding a Cybersecurity Forensics certification, such as:
o GIAC Battlefield Forensics and Acquisition (GBFA)
o GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE)
o GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
o GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA)
• Recent experience working in a Cybersecurity Forensics Capacity for an Intelligence Community or DoD organization.
