Position Overview:

The Director of Classified Network Solutions is a pivotal leadership role responsible for directing the strategy of and overseeing classified enterprise network and server architecture, operations, transformation, enablement, and modernization efforts across classified environments.

This individual will lead efforts to enhance converged classified network performance, consolidate and optimize legacy systems, ensure cyber compliance and resilience, ensure mission assurance and availability, and align with DoD and IC standards. The individual will also lead the efforts to provide standardized services and solutions to transform and enable many DOD collateral, special access program, and intelligence community networks outside of the converged classified network portfolio.

This role demands a strong technical background with deep expertise in managing classified environments, classified cyber compliance and operations, large-scale transformation initiatives within classified information technology environments, and the ability to influence internal and external government partners. A proven track record in program management is a must. This position is 100% onsite, and preferred to be located in Redondo Beach, CA, Baltimore/Linthicum, MD or Falls Church, VA. Additional locations include: Melbourne, FL, Huntsville, AL, or Gilbert, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic planning and operational oversight of all converged classified network systems and secure IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Lead the enterprise classified IT and cybersecurity governance and efforts for standardized classified solutions and services
  • Establish and maintain classified IT policy, technical solution standards, as well as processes to ensure compliance with those policies and standards
  • Lead enterprise team of senior managers, unit managers and employees located in various geographical locations
  • Direct enterprise-wide network consolidation efforts across multiple classified domains, identifying opportunities, and ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with national security protocols
  • Deliver an intuitive suite of classified services and capabilities that meet mission needs, enhances usability, drives adoption and reduces friction
  • Oversee identity and access management, cross-domain solutions, and enclave migrations
  • Ensure compliance with DoD RMF, JSIG, and other applicable cybersecurity frameworks
  • Manage classified cloud migration initiatives in coordination with DISA, NSA, and mission partners
  • Manage cross-functional teams throughout the consolidation process, fostering collaboration and effective communications
  • Serve as the senior liaison between engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams, ensuring synchronization across multiple projects and environments
  • Collaborate with Defense Industrial Base (DIB) peers, federal agencies, and mission stakeholders to define network strategies, modernization roadmaps, and operational benchmarks
  • Prepare and brief executive leadership and agency stakeholders on performance, risks, and mission impact
  • Lead incident response and network continuity planning within classified domains


Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (Master's Degree preferred)
  • At least 12 years of progressive leadership experience in classified or DoD IT environments
  • Experience leading multi-level technical teams of IT and/or classified cybersecurity scope
  • Proven experience leading consolidation or modernization of classified network systems
  • Extensive knowledge of secure communications, classified enclave management, and accreditation processes
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance (Polygraph strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, ICAM, cross-domain solutions (CDS), and multi-tenant classified environments
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to frame decisions, align stakeholders, and build cross-functional trust
  • Data-Driven Leadership- Ability to leverage data, metrics, and performance dashboards to guide decisions


Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, CISSP, or equivalent certification addressing DoD 8570 IAM level III (which also include GSLC or CISM)
  • Experience with classified cloud providers
  • Working knowledge and industry engagement with SAP reform
  • Experience working with Government accrediting authorities for major classified networks (DCSA, SAP CIO, etc.)
  • Polygraph is preferred.
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Salary Range: $170,600.00 - $296,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
