Position
Seeking a Data Analyst to support an Intelligence Client.
Required
Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following disciplines:
Business analytics
Statistics
Data verification and validation
Data visualization
Experience in applying qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods to business analytics problems
Experience creating data visualization mockups, prototypes of visualizations, documenting work processes and effectively demonstrating products to technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated experience interpreting data models and working with a variety of data sources and structures
Experience translating customer requirements into project or system specifications
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-starter with the ability to decompose ambiguous problems into actionable plans
Experience using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar interactive data visualization software
Demonstrated experience transforming, manipulating, and combining data using a programming language, such as Python
Proficiency using a data preparation tool, such as Tableau Prep Builder
Experience using Excel, Python, and SQL Relational Databases (e.g. Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server)
Experience with other business data reporting systems
Desired
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or Information Systems…or 4 years of relevant data analysis experience within the IC or military
Experience with data derived from technical missions, taskings, collection, processing, analysis, or dissemination
Demonstrated experience working with Sponsor business or mission data, Sponsor applications, or Sponsor database structures
Experience with the Sponsor’s data handling procedures
Demonstrated visualization tools, such as Jupyter, Visio, SharePoint, or Confluence
Proficiency with APIs
Demonstrated experience using GitHub, or similar version control systems
Experience using Python or R
Able to utilize critical thinking and analytic judgements and apply programmatic, quantitative, and qualitative methods to identify patterns and relationships in disparate datasets
Proficiency using mathematical, statistical, or other data-driven analysis to address business questions
Ability to Interact with customers to coordinate requirements and resolve data questions
Proficiency working independently or as a member of a team to research, organize, and analyze information
Documenting workflows
Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
Experience providing analytical judgement and trend analysis based on research and comparisons with past products
Obtaining structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, synthesizing it, and presenting the results effectively and concisely in written and graphic form to internal and external stakeholders
