Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain scripts and tools using Python to support system automation, data processing, and diagnostics.
- Navigate and troubleshoot issues in Linux environments, including log analysis, permissions, and process management.
- Use the command-line interface (CLI) to manage files, services, and system configurations.
- Assist in spinning up and managing virtual machines (VMs) for development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to support system integration, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in technical reviews and contribute to system design discussions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Systems Engineer Level 0
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required and no demonstrated experience is required.
- Systems Engineer Level 1
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required and seven (7) years as a SE in program and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Note: Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Additional Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and CLI-based navigation.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VirtualBox, VMware, KVM).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Desired Skills
- Exposure to scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and basic system security practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of containerization tools such as Docker.
