Job Summary:
We are seeking SAP Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) at the Junior, Mid-level, and Senior levels to support Navy ERP or SAP systems across various functional areas including Finance, Funds Management, Sales & Distribution, Controlling, Project Systems, Materials Management, Inventory/Warehouse Management, and Workforce Management.
Compensation levels:
Junior: 115K
Mid level: 125K
Senior Level: 150K
Clearance Required: Secret
Location: Fully Remote
Position Levels and Requirements:
• Junior SAP SME:
Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years of experience without a degree.
• Mid-level SAP SME:
Requires 4 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years without a degree.
• Senior SAP SME:
Requires 5 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 7 years without a degree.
General Qualifications (All Levels):
• Demonstrated experience with Navy ERP or SAP in one or more of the listed functional modules.
• Documented customer service experience is required; prior experience with the National Help Desk Service Manager (NHDSM) or a similar system is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Breakdown of required qualifications
Entry-Level SAP SME
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience with IT systems or business operations,
or
• 4+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience in ERP systems or General Ledger Accounting Systems (GLAS) is considered relevant.
• Documented customer service experience required; NHDSM or similar system experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support for users in ERP and related business systems.
• Assist with issue tracking and resolution through help desk platforms.
• Perform basic data entry, system monitoring, and user support tasks.
• Document user issues and solutions for knowledge management.
• Escalate complex issues to mid/senior-level staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Provide mid-tier support and subject matter expertise across designated SAP modules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex ERP system issues.
• Support system configuration, data maintenance, and user training efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs and implement process improvements.
• Document and manage user support cases in NHDSM or equivalent.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Lead functional and technical support for complex Navy ERP/SAP systems and data tools.
• Perform advanced data analysis and manage large data sets to support reporting and decision-making.
• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level staff.
• Design and implement system and process enhancements across SAP modules.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer and stakeholder interactions.
• Oversee high-priority support tickets in NHDSM or similar platforms.
