You'll lead sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of critical materials and services. This role requires a strong understanding of government procurement regulations, cost analysis, and contract negotiation. You'll take full ownership of the procurement lifecycle-from requisition to final payment-while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier identification, RFQ/RFP issuance, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Develop and manage strategic sourcing agreements (e.g., Long-Term Agreements) that align with program and business goals.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, SOX, and internal policies throughout the procurement process.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, legal, finance, and program teams to meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support audits and reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to the development of scalable procurement systems and workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. government procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR) and compliance standards.
- Experience preparing cost/price analyses and supporting complex negotiations.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards and engineering documentation (e.g., specifications, source control drawings).
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required (due to export control regulations).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or PMP certification.
- Experience sourcing machined parts, raw materials, or outplant services.
- Proficiency in procurement systems such as Costpoint, Exostar, Windchill, SharePoint, Tableau, and JIRA.
- Experience working with certified cost or pricing data.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or Special Access preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, solve problems end-to-end, and scale procurement processes.
