Test Engineer

Contract Position

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in planning technical approaches, scheduling, budgeting, and identifying resources and equipment needed for testing.
- Develop and execute automated, manual, and regression tests, including formal systems acceptance testing.
- Design and implement test fixtures, diagnostic programs, and system configurations.
- Prepare and present test strategies, test plans, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct testing of hardware and software systems, including installation and configuration across multiple devices.
- Perform troubleshooting and failure investigations; analyze root causes and document issues clearly.
- Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, reports, and test cases.
- Support Agile development efforts by working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, and 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in a related field.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools and environments, including DOORS, Jira, and MATLAB.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with system processes and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience in both automated and manual testing of complex systems.
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience presenting results and test strategies to senior leadership and customers.
- Proven ability to work across multiple disciplines and drive collaboration within teams.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Enthusiastic commitment to continuous professional development.
