A Day in the Life – What You’ll Do
• Provide Tier I and Tier II support for IT system troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization.
• Manage daily system operations and configuration activities across client, server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Assist users in accessing and effectively using IT systems and tools.
• Support real-time monitoring and resolution of hardware/software issues across mobile, desktop, and virtual environments.
• Escalate and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders and agency leadership.
• Perform system capacity analysis and planning to maintain optimal system performance.
• Optimize system resources and implement operating system enhancements to increase reliability and uptime.
• Configure and maintain both UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation of OS software and network components.

Is This You?
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Engineering) from an accredited institution
• Experience: 5+ years as a System Administrator supporting contracts of similar scope and complexity
• Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
• Traits: Detail-oriented, dependable, solution-focused, and proactive in resolving complex IT challenges

Note: An additional 5 years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

Core Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and maintain secure IT systems critical to national defense
• Provide responsive Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II support to end users
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, software, and network teams to ensure operational continuity
• Maintain and configure system infrastructure including operating systems, servers, and networks
• Implement system upgrades, security patches, and performance tuning
• Deliver timely support for dispatch system and hardware issues
• Monitor system performance, diagnose outages, and support incident response
• Uphold best practices in configuration management and IT operations
