A Day in the Life – What You’ll Do
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design specifications and performance expectations.
• Debug and troubleshoot existing codebases to identify and resolve defects in mission-critical systems.
• Recommend improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and develop new software or modify existing applications to introduce new features and enhancements.
• Integrate existing software into new or evolving system environments, ensuring compatibility and stability.
• Create simple data queries for operational databases and data repositories to support user and mission requirements.

Is This You?
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited institution
• Experience: No experience required; four (4) years of software engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
• Traits: Curious, driven, and eager to grow; collaborative by nature and passionate about building real-world solutions

Core Skills
Required:

• Foundational knowledge of programming and software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot basic code issues in development and test environments
• Understanding of database structures and ability to write simple data queries
• Willingness to contribute to process improvement and technical documentation
• Ability to work under supervision while developing technical depth in a fast-paced classified environment

Preferred:

• Exposure to object-oriented programming and version control systems
• Coursework or project experience with system integration and performance optimization
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and working in collaborative development teams
