Risk Manager

CSEngineering is looking to add a Risk Manager to our growing team!
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) is required.
Systems Engineering Expertise:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on complex systems, preferably within the space industry. Experience with System of Systems (SoS) engineering principles is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in risk management processes and techniques is essential.
Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle (requirements definition, design, development, integration, testing, verification, validation, and operations).
Experience with systems engineering methodologies (e.g., Agile, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)).
Proficiency in developing and maintaining system architectures, requirements documents, interface control documents (ICDs), and other technical documentation.
System of Systems (SoS) Engineering:
Familiarity with SoS concepts, architectures, and challenges.
Experience in integrating heterogeneous systems and managing interdependencies.
Understanding of emergent behaviour and SoS-specific risks.
Risk Management:
Proficiency in risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
Experience with risk management frameworks and tools (e.g., ISO 31000).
Ability to develop and implement risk management plans and strategies.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques.
Space Systems Knowledge:
Familiarity with space systems architecture, including spacecraft, launch vehicles, ground systems, and communication networks.
Understanding of space environment effects on systems.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g., NASA, MIL-STD, ISO).
Modeling & Simulation:
Experience with modeling and simulation tools for system analysis and performance evaluation.
Ability to develop and use models to assess system behaviour and identify potential risks.
Software & Tools:
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Warp Core).
Knowledge of configuration management tools.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Project Management Professional (PMP)) can be a plus.
Additional Qualifications
A Master's degree in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Leadership: Leadership skills, including the ability to lead technical teams and deliver executive level technical briefings
Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and challenge assumptions.
Decision-Making: Ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis.
