Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, industrial engineering or other Facilities Management related field
• 9+ years relevant experience
• 4+ years leading/managing staff, Personnel management background - team lead/supervision
• Strong project management and project execution skills
• Experience managing and coordinating contractors and service providers
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
• Leadership skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
• Ability to effectively present information.
• Organization and Project Management skills coupled with the ability to effectively manage and partner with contractors, vendors, and team members
• Top Secret Clearance required

Nice to Haves:

• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
• Facilities certifications (FMP Facilities Management Professional, CFM Certified Facilities Professional, PE Professional Engineer, LEED AP)
• HVAC, electrical knowledge
• Knowledge of applicable laws/regulations, including those mandated by OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPS, and local building codes
• Experience working with engineering blueprints, process specifications, and building layouts
• AutoCAD proficiency

Job Description:
Facilities management professional at Vandenberg Space Force Base to lead a facilities team and contractors, supporting the customer missions. Responsible for space planning, construction management, maintenance and operations of the Integrated Processing Facility (IPF) at Vandenberg site. Develops, manages and tracks facilities capital and facilities operating expense budgets and establishes long-range facilities strategic plans in support of business goals. Oversees the planning and implementation of space allocation, furniture and equipment layouts, communication services and networking requirements. Ensures facilities' compliance with applicable building codes, guidelines, and regulations. Responsible for preventative, routine and emergency repair and maintenance of all facilities and facilities support equipment. Responsible to maintain and utilize a facilities maintenance management and work order system. Inspects facilities and evaluates such factors as HVAC systems, lighting, size, condition and suitability for occupancy. Coordinates work of contractors and interfaces with external government agencies on facilities matters. Jointly responsible for facilities security and health and safety standards within the facility.
