Position Overview
As an InfoSec Analyst, you will support the National Guard Bureau J2 by conducting research, providing analysis, and assisting with the development and implementation of Information Security (INFOSEC) policies and procedures. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining and enhancing the security posture of the National Guard Bureau while ensuring compliance with Executive Orders and Department of Defense directives.

Position Overview
As an InfoSec Analyst, you will support the National Guard Bureau J2 by conducting research, providing analysis, and assisting with the development and implementation of Information Security (INFOSEC) policies and procedures. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining and enhancing the security posture of the National Guard Bureau while ensuring compliance with Executive Orders and Department of Defense directives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct background research and gap analyses on government best practices related to the development of operational INFOSEC functions.
- Prepare draft materials, including emails, memoranda, articles, and routine revisions of DoD INFOSEC, classification, and declassification procedures for government review.
- Develop draft provisions for DoD classification and declassification procedures for potential inclusion in Chief National Guard Bureau Manuals (CNGBMs) on INFOSEC, including Original Classification Authority (OCA) guidelines.
- Conduct research and analysis to support the development and maintenance of standard text and protocols for Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
- Assist in the oversight, training, and quality control of INFOSEC activities within NGB Joint Staff (JS) and Joint Force Headquarters-State (JFHQ-S).
- Create draft training materials and syllabi on the proper exercise of classification and declassification authorities.
- Facilitate INFOSEC training for approximately 1,600 National Guard Bureau personnel.
- Track and report on the status of trained personnel across the NGB JS and the 54 states and territories, identifying deficiencies before Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) reporting cycles.
- Review requests for classification and declassification by Executive Orders and DoD Manuals.
- Analyze standard procedures for classification and declassification, providing draft recommendations on a quarterly basis or as needed.
- Prepare draft quarterly reports outlining NGB classification and declassification actions for submission to NGB-J24.
- Participate in OCA-related working groups and steering committees as required, with advance notice provided.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: At least 8 years of analytical experience, with at least a portion of this experience within the past 2 years.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
