Senior Proposal Writer

Position Summary:

Integrity ISR is seeking an experienced Senior Proposal Writer to lead the development of fully compliant, compelling, and high-quality proposals for DoD and federal government contracts. This role requires a highly skilled writer who can independently manage proposal sections, volumes, or entire submissions with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate has a strong background in interpreting complex solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs), writing to compliance requirements, and crafting clear, persuasive narratives that win work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead proposal writing efforts-develop technical, management, past performance, and executive summary sections.
• Analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other solicitations to create compliance matrices, outlines, and writing plans.
• Collaborate with SMEs, capture managers, and leadership to gather content and translate technical information into clear, compelling language.
• Ensure proposals are fully compliant with all solicitation requirements (Section L, M, and related instructions).
• Write content tailored to DoD and federal customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of federal acquisition language and expectations.
• Edit and refine contributions from other writers or SMEs to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance.
• Manage deadlines and drive proposal schedules to completion with minimal supervision.
• Assist in the development of boilerplate materials, corporate capabilities narratives, and other proposal assets.
• Support color team reviews and implement feedback rapidly and accurately.
• Stay current on federal proposal best practices, trends, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience writing compliant proposals for DoD and federal government contracts.
• Proven track record of successful contributions to winning proposals (experience with services-based contracts highly preferred).
• Deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, and the federal procurement process.
• Ability to independently interpret RFP requirements and develop compliant, compelling narratives.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
• BA/BS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing proposals in ISR, cyber, or defense training sectors.
• Knowledge of Shipley or other formal proposal processes.
• Active security clearance or eligibility is a plus but not required.

$130,000 - $150,000 per year
