GridironIT is seeking an IT Specialist provides support to end users for Personal Computer (PC), server, or mainframe applications and hardware. This role may interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and identify and correct core problems. The IT Specialist simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties, recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems, and maintains currency and the highest level of technical skill in the field of expertise.
This team is supporting the Web Services Unit (WSU) which provides software development tools and solutions to the FBI workforce to facilitate collaboration and enable rapid response to mission demands. WSU manages the FBI’s SharePoint environment across enclaves, provides on-demand SharePoint sites to customers, connects the FBI and DOJ through Bridge and the FISA Management System (FISAMS), and supports secure intelligence reporting to the FBI Director and senior executives through the Enterprise Briefing System (EBS). WSU also manages the Microsoft 365 Power Platform which enables users to build applications and workflows to improve their business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to end users for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware.
• Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and identify and correct core problems.
• Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
• Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems and improve overall system performance.
• Maintain the highest level of technical skill and knowledge in the field of expertise.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Document and track issues, solutions, and user interactions to ensure comprehensive support records.
Qualifications:
• Experience in providing technical support for PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interact with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development teams.
• Proficient in simulating or recreating user problems to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recommend and implement systems modifications to reduce user problems.
• Commitment to maintaining current technical skills and knowledge in the field.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with network services and software systems engineering.
• Knowledge of current IT trends and technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $90,000-180,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
