GridironIT is seeking a Cloud Developer is responsible for developing the cloud service delivery models and architectural framework to enable Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS). This role requires the ability to implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
2 Scope Areas:
Enterprise Database Services Unit (EDSU) provides technical expertise and support with database management and security assessment & accreditation. EDSU assists FBI customers with implementing relational database solutions and securing Authorization to Operate (ATO) for mission critical systems. EDSU’s service portfolio includes Oracle Database as a Service (ODaaS), Enterprise SQL Server Database Services (ESDBS), Security-Threat Assessment and Review Services (S-TARS) and Rapid Application Deployment and Resilience (RADAR) services.
The Investigative and Intelligence Application Unit (IIAU) provides software application development and operational support to the FBI’s investigative and intelligence workforce. IIAU develops, maintains, and supports a portfolio of custom-built products for customers throughout the FBI, including the Criminal Cyber Response and Services Branch (CCRSB), Intelligence Branch (IB), and National Security Branch (NSB). The technical solutions IIAU provides enables customers to meet their specific mission needs and collaborate with internal and external partners. IIAU provides web-based application support and conducts regular operations and maintenance (O&M) to keep the applications it services secure and operating effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
• Analyze applications and provide recommendations for platform migration, deployment into a cloud environment, and optimization.
• Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses for cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises services.
• Manage policies for cloud service usage, new technology requests, and ensure the establishment of a secure cloud environment.
• Ensure appropriate availability and uptime design for cloud services.
• Work independently to design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
• Debug cloud stacks and manage cloud infrastructure.
Technical Expertise:
• Familiar with Oracle Database as a Service (ODaaS), Enterprise SQL Server Database Services (ESDBS), Security-Threat Assessment and Review Services (S-TARS), and Rapid Application Deployment and Resilience (RADAR) services.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services.
• Proficient in DevSecOps practices and automation tools.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in cloud architecture and cloud service delivery models.
• Strong analytical skills to provide recommendations for cloud migration and deployment.
• Experience in developing strategies for cloud service failure/recovery and cost optimization.
• Ability to manage cloud policies and ensure secure cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $120,000-185,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
