The Opportunity

We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of US EUCOM's mission objectives.
As a Storage and Infrastructure Engineer on the Storage and Virtualization team, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our enterprise Virtual Infrastructure environment. To include Cisco Intersight/UCSM, VMware VCF, and NetApp storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate responsibilities will include managing and maintaining the Virtual infrastructure and guiding the transition towards automation and futureproofing with containerization and infrastructure as code. Key technologies such as PowerShell, Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible will play a significant role in the future of this position, and would be desirable skills to have.
Responsibilities
• NetApp Storage Management: Manages all data backups, replication, verification, and restoral services to meet time-to-restore, time-to-recover, and other data-related SLAs. Monitors and manages configuration, access, security, and permissions to all data shares, network drives, and other shared storage solutions
• Virtualization: Troubleshoot, resolve, and document problems within virtual system Verification of proper operation of the system. Optimizing and resolving issues, configuration, management, and maintenance of complex enterprise-level systems
• Cisco UCSM: Advanced expertise with Cisco FI networking and management of UCS components. Ability to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues within he fabric environment.
• GitLab CI/CD Automation: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to streamline and automate deployment processes.
• System Security: Ensure the security of all systems through regular updates, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
• Documentation and Standardization: Develop and maintain Markdown-based guides and guidelines for system deployment, STIG remediation, and script version controlling.
• Process Improvement: Establish and enforce policies and processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, identify issues, and perform troubleshooting to ensure system stability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team, other IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems and services.
• Mentorship: We encourage junior to mid-level admins to seek guidance from our senior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Qualifications
Required
- Must be a US Citizen to apply and hold and currently hold an Active Secret Clearance with he ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI level clearance.
- The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
- The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.
- The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
- Specifically, Storage and Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Enterprise network with multiple types of FI, UCSM, NetApp Storage, Rubrik, and Storage Grid systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for system administrator functions supporting a global infrastructure in a mixed platform environment.
- Ensures the security of business systems and applications, mitigating new vulnerabilities to meet the latest Cyber/IA requirements. Reviews and prepares documentation for systems, tests and installation of software. Investigates and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
