Insight Global is actively hiring a Software Development Instructor to join our team supporting a large DoD Program in Elkridge Maryland.
In this role, you will train personnel to develop, troubleshoot, and remediate software issues using C++ and Java. You will collaborate with software programmers and test and integration teams to code, test, and integrate software updates for the COBRA Command and Control Center operational software, gaining proficiency to train students.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the development, installation, integration, and testing of software updates for customer delivery. As a subject matter expert, you will perform skills gap analysis and develop and implement courses to teach customer personnel to code, test software updates, and integrate modifications into the COBRA Command and Control Center operational software baseline. Additionally, you will communicate project status to the COBRA Command and Control Center Training IPT Lead.
Must-Haves
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 10 years of experience, a master’s degree in computer science with 5 years of experience.
• Working knowledge in two of the following languages: C++, C, Java, HTML/XML Fortran
• Very knowledgeable of Instructional System Design (ISD) rooted in Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) methodology.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools.
Plusses
• Practitioner knowledge of software programming languages, test and integration
• Experience to program, test and integrate software for military systems
• Certified Military (Navy, Army, USAF) Instructor with programming experience
