The Opportunity:

The Executive Communications Network & Systems Administrator provides critical IT support to General Officers/Flag Officers (GO/FO), Senior Executive Service (SES), and O6 Directors, ensuring seamless and secure communication capabilities at home, in the office, and while traveling. This role requires a highly motivated, self-sufficient individual with strong technical skills in systems, network, and desktop administration, as well as excellent customer service and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team to support high-level personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Executive Communication Kit (ECK) Management: Configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain ECKs, including complex multi-device setups involving laptops, VTCs, and ECVOIP phones. Perform regular testing and updates of ECK components to ensure optimal performance and security. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, tunnel faults, routing problems, and misconfigurations.
• VIP Quarters Support: Coordinate and install hardware (desktops, laptops, phones, VTCs) and software within VIP quarters, providing user training on secure operation and COMSEC handling. Respond to technical issues within VIP quarters promptly and efficiently, escalating to other teams as needed. Conduct comprehensive system checks, including patch updates, network configuration verification, and equipment inventory, upon issue resolution. Retrieve and return secured communications equipment when VIP personnel vacate their residence.
• Conference Support: Collaborate with conference planning teams to analyze IT requirements and provide seamless AEN services, including Executive Communication Suite setup, remote participation support, and IT consultation. Attend required JPTs to gather requirements and set expectations for support capabilities.
• WINDAR (Windows Data-at-Rest - Secret) Management: Process WINDAR requests, coordinating with DISA for account creation and troubleshooting. Perform regular maintenance and updates on WINDAR devices.
• System Maintenance: Maintain, configure, and update encryption devices. Perform regular preventative maintenance on NIPR and SIPR laptops and desktops to ensure compliance with security standards. Update office-based WINDAR devices weekly. Rotate conference laptops on the SIPR imaging station weekly.
• Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service via phone, chat, email, and in-person interactions. Maintain clear and professional communication, keeping users informed about ticket status updates and escalating critical issues promptly.
• Daily Operations: Participate in daily team muster, log into Teams on NIPR and SIPR, and monitor ServiceNow for new tickets and updates.
Operating Hours:
• Monday to Friday: 07:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• After-hours Support: Rotational on-call duty for VIP Quarters support

Qualifications:

Required:

• CompTIA Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)

• Currently hold an Active TS/SCI clearance

• Proficiency in systems administration, network administration, and desktop administration.

• At least one relevant certification in each technical area (e.g., CCNA/Network+, A+/M365 Endpoint Admin Associate, AZ-104) is highly encouraged.

• Strong knowledge of O365 products (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerApps).

• Proficiency in ServiceNow.

• Experience troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.

Desired:

• Experience supporting senior-level executives.
• Familiarity with DoD security protocols and procedures.
• Experience with COMSEC management.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,700 - 173,900 USD
