A Fortune-100 aerospace & defense manufacturer is expanding a high-visibility military-aircraft program and needs a senior Manufacturing Operations Analyst to drive first-time-quality on a complex metallic sub-assembly. You will coach mechanics on drilling, countersink and fastener installation, mine production-quality data, and lead Lean/RCCA events that shorten flow and reduce re-work.

- Observe shop-floor work on metallic structures; provide real-time coaching on drilling, reaming, dimpling and Hi-Lok/CherryMAX installation.
- Analyze non-conformance trends in MES/QMS dashboards; develop Pareto charts and action plans that cut defect escapes.
- Facilitate 8-D, A3 and root-cause workshops; document corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
- Update digital work instructions and CATIA/3DX visual aids to reflect best practices.
- Serve as the liaison between production, quality, engineering and supply chain to keep schedule on track.
- Champion Lean/5S culture through daily Gemba walks, red-tag events and continuous-improvement coaching.
- Support multi-shift coverage, occasional weekend work and short travel to sister sites.
Minimum qualifications
- 7 + years hands-on aircraft sheet-metal or structures experience (drilling, countersink, blind & solid-rivet installation).
- Proficiency interpreting blueprints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Experience navigating a manufacturing-execution system (e.g., Velocity MES, DELMIA, or equivalent) and a PLM/CAD platform (CATIA, NX, or similar).
- Demonstrated use of Excel/Power Query and/or Tableau to analyze production data.
- Willingness to work any shift and meet physical requirements (kneel, crouch, lift up to 25 lbs).
- US Person under ITAR regulations; able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior coaching or train-the-trainer role on an airframe final-assembly or modification line.
- Documented success leading RCCA / 8-D events that achieved >25 % defect-rate reduction.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification.
- Experience on military-aircraft or tanker programs.
- Familiarity with TIPQA (or comparable QMS) and Integrated Master Schedule tools.
