Everett, WA (On-Site/Office)

A Fortune-100 aerospace & defense manufacturer is expanding a high-visibility military-aircraft program and needs a senior Manufacturing Operations Analyst to drive first-time-quality on a complex metallic sub-assembly. You will coach mechanics on drilling, countersink and fastener installation, mine production-quality data, and lead Lean/RCCA events that shorten flow and reduce re-work.

Responsibilities
  • Observe shop-floor work on metallic structures; provide real-time coaching on drilling, reaming, dimpling and Hi-Lok/CherryMAX installation.
  • Analyze non-conformance trends in MES/QMS dashboards; develop Pareto charts and action plans that cut defect escapes.
  • Facilitate 8-D, A3 and root-cause workshops; document corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Update digital work instructions and CATIA/3DX visual aids to reflect best practices.
  • Serve as the liaison between production, quality, engineering and supply chain to keep schedule on track.
  • Champion Lean/5S culture through daily Gemba walks, red-tag events and continuous-improvement coaching.
  • Support multi-shift coverage, occasional weekend work and short travel to sister sites.

Minimum qualifications
  • 7 + years hands-on aircraft sheet-metal or structures experience (drilling, countersink, blind & solid-rivet installation).
  • Proficiency interpreting blueprints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience navigating a manufacturing-execution system (e.g., Velocity MES, DELMIA, or equivalent) and a PLM/CAD platform (CATIA, NX, or similar).
  • Demonstrated use of Excel/Power Query and/or Tableau to analyze production data.
  • Willingness to work any shift and meet physical requirements (kneel, crouch, lift up to 25 lbs).
  • US Person under ITAR regulations; able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred qualifications
  • Prior coaching or train-the-trainer role on an airframe final-assembly or modification line.
  • Documented success leading RCCA / 8-D events that achieved >25 % defect-rate reduction.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification.
  • Experience on military-aircraft or tanker programs.
  • Familiarity with TIPQA (or comparable QMS) and Integrated Master Schedule tools.
