Position Overview

We are looking for experienced Systems Engineers to join a highly technical and impactful government program. This role supports a sophisticated enterprise infrastructure environment encompassing:

• Network infrastructure
  
• End-user computing
  
• Data center servers
  
• Multi-cloud and virtualized environments
  
• Containerized applications

You'll contribute to both on-premise and cloud-based systems, supporting secure, scalable, and high-performance computing environments in one of the most complex and high-profile missions in the government space.
Required Education, Experience & Skills

• 11+ years of relevant IT experience
  
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  
• Deep expertise in Linux systems administration including:
  
  • Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky Linux
    
  • BASH scripting and Linux command line
• Experience providing:
  
  • Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support
    
  • Linux engineering and infrastructure administration
• Ability to perform systems engineering across large enterprise environments

Core Duties Include:

• Execute system design and software development across diverse Linux platforms
  
• Provide technical leadership in automation tools and software engineering practices
  
• Analyze functional applications and design technical specifications
  
• Generate technical documentation and assist in setting IT standards
  
• Develop and maintain baseline systems
  
• Monitor server loads and assists with system tuning
  
• Fulfill O&M support duties including on-call coverage, patching, and updates

Preferred Skills & Technologies

• Scripting expertise in Python and BASH
  
• Experience with cloud platforms:
  
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    
  • Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools:
  
  • Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation
• Knowledge of modern cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  
• Experience with Containers-as-a-Service (CaaS) using Kubernetes or OpenShift
