We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to work on-site in Washington DC. This position requires an active Top Secret SCI clearance.

Overview:

This role will involve supporting the Department's national security systems and infrastructure by delivering network/server administration, helpdesk support, and information assurance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, a current TS/SCI clearance, and relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain national security network infrastructure and associated systems.
  • Provide end-user helpdesk support for mission-critical national security systems.
  • Support RMF security assessment and authorization processes in accordance with client policies.
  • Respond to and support security incident resolution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with operational and security requirements across all systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals, including engineers and security personnel, to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Document system configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Certifications (Required):
    • One or more of the following: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
    • ITIL 4 Foundation certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in systems administration
    • OR a Bachelor's degree plus at least 6 years of system administration experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supporting secure government or defense systems
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-security environment

Physical and Mental Qualifications:
  • Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
  • Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
  • Perform the essential functions of the role satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation will be provided for employees with disabilities upon request.
