The Opportunity
CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) with Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML expertise to join the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team supporting USEUCOM in Stuttgart, Germany. This role focuses on applying MBSE methodologies to standardize DoDAF/UAF-compliant architectures for IT systems, enabling data-driven decision-making for joint warfighting capabilities.
Responsibilities
The Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) will support the Enterprise Architecture team in support of systems requirements definition, architecture analysis, and design analysis which includes, but is not limited to:
Apply MBSE to develop architectural views using DoDAF(Department of Defense Architecture Framework), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML). Develop and maintain SysML models in Cameo to capture requirements, use cases, cyber boundaries, and system architectures per DoDAF/UAF standards.
Support mission engineering, operational scenario analysis, system functions and develop functional and performance requirements and C4ISR system-of-systems integration for USEUCOM. Ensure traceability between architecture models, IC data compliance, and program requirements.
Lead MBSE standardization across the program, including model reviews and stakeholder briefings. Provide technical expertise in the modeling and analysis of military C4 systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
Demonstrate and utilize subject matter expertise in MBSE, utilizing modeling tools including tools such as Cameo MagicDraw and other similar tools and languages such as SysML, to help the Government with the various technical requirements and mission planning. Develop and analyze MBSE models to derive mission threads and use cases to aid in system-level verification planning
Collaborate with military planners, acquisition teams, and cyber SMEs to align architectures with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and operational needs.
Lead subject matter experts, stakeholders, and customers throughout the process of developing and coordinating system level specifications.
Qualifications
Required
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years' experience in a related field (a Master's degree +3 Years' experience)
Minimum 7 years' experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, or test of DoD systems including: a minimum of 5 years' experience in analysis, development, evaluation, integration, and test of network systems architecture.
5+ years' hands-on experience with:
Cameo/MagicDraw and SysML (blocks, states, sequences, parametric).
DoDAF/UAF frameworks and understanding of JCIDS processes.
C4ISR systems, cyber-physical integration, or IT infrastructure.
Proven ability to brief high-level stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to relate effectively with program employees, government client representatives, and internal organizational functional representatives.
A collaborative, team-centric attitude and enthusiasm that encourages outreach and partnership.
Ability to manage multiple projects and requirements simultaneously in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice and under high pressure in high visibility situations.
Position requires you have a DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security +.
Desired
Experience with USEUCOM, COCOM staff, or NATO projects.
Knowledge of CJADC2
Scripting skills (JavaScript, Python) for Cameo automation.
OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification or similar certification
